Four Little Feet

Jan. 3, 2005

Four little feet to take me across the puddle
Four little feet to carry me around the block
Two missing teeth that don't stop me from chompin'
It's what you get when you chomp on a rock

Four little feet with nails that pitter patter
Four little feet with hair sticking out each pad
Two big brown eyes to sucker you with skill
Two big brown eyes to make you think I'm sad

Four little feet in front of a white behind
Four little feet in front of a curly little tail
Two floppy ears that blow back in the wind
Two floppy ears that may yet send me a-sail

Four little feet to help me dig under covers
Four little feet that scratch you on the leg
One big black nose that often sets to freezing
I need to warm it, oh please don't make me beg

Four little feet that I use to sit so cutely
Four little feet that I use to jump and run
One big belly, I love to have it rubbed
It warms us up when our long day is done
