Model Beauty
Jan. 26, 2003
Toss out the wilting flowers
Held by the wafer girls
Trash the gauzy glare
Of the glamorpusses
Forget the perfect features
Of the fairy-tale femmes
Never mind the mechanical
Chill of the distant dames
Give me the covers
Give me the plush
Give me the folds
Give me the lush
Factor out the fraudulent
The fake, the phony
Fear the absence
Of imperfection
Brush off the brutal
Brine of model beauty
Tear out the glossy pages
Of that one false duty
Give me the hair
Tangled with sweat
Give me the heart
That beats stronger yet
