Year Upon Year

Jan. 26, 2002

Your utopia surrounds me
And annihilates all fear
As we shake sugaree together
Passing year upon year

Your smile swells in my soul
While I look out on the pier
As we ride the waves together
Passing year upon year

I brush my lips across your face
And whisper in your ear
As we lie low together
Passing year upon year

I hold your hand against my heart
And then say, "You are here"
As we walk the road forever
Passing year upon year

I shoot you a sidelong glance
Before pulling you so near
As we hold the world together
Passing year upon year

Soon we'll share a name
And have two rings to bind us clear
As we share lifespace together
Passing year upon year

And every year that passes
Your love is all I hear
A rhapsody is playing, as we go
Passing year upon year
